“If a man has an apartment stacked to the ceiling with newspapers we call him crazy. If a woman has a trailer house full of cats we call her nuts. But when people pathologically hoard so much cash that they impoverish the entire nation, we put them on the cover of Fortune magazine and pretend that they are role models.”

This is your call for the second meeting of the Independent Candidates Caucus of Vermont.
When? At 6 p.m. sharp on Friday, May 2, 2008.
Where? In the downstairs conference room of South Burlington City Hall located at 575 Dorset Street, South Burlington, VT 05403.
We will meet to nominate candidates for all federal, statewide, and Vermont House and Senate openings. All registered voters who are interested or may become interested in running for elective office in 2008 are welcome. Committed Donkeyphant candidates and voters, and lesser-evil voters who mistakenly believe only Democrats and Republicans can win, are not invited. There are 187 Vermont vacancies that need to be filled, so there is room for all caucus participants and then some.
Please respond to this notice by e-mail so we know you have received this message. Please confirm receipt of this notice to [email protected]. If you have no computer, please go to the nearest public library and one of the librarians will help you. If you have another committment the evening of May 2, you may send someone who knows you to represent you because selection will be based on brief presentations followed by votes if there is more than one person seeking a specific office.

There are more independent voters in Vermont than Republicans or Democrats, and we should not have to vote for candidates that vote their party line which is mostly against the public interest and the public will.
