“If a man has an apartment stacked to the ceiling with newspapers we call him crazy. If a woman has a trailer house full of cats we call her nuts. But when people pathologically hoard so much cash that they impoverish the entire nation, we put them on the cover of Fortune magazine and pretend that they are role models.”

They say history repeats itself ... well, today I was driving in my car listening to the radio (loud) as I always do while driving alone. On came this song from the 70's. An old "Who" song that I hadn't heard for a long time.

I thought to myself ... man, these words are as true or truer today then they were back in 1971 when they were written.

I just wanted to share this great song, and let it be a reminder that things can change if we continue the fight.... and you know what? I think we let it happen ... We did get fooled again.

Special Thanks to:
The Who:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Won't Get Fooled Again

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

'Won't get fooled again' is my favorite song of all time. It's had a rebirth on the CSI television show. Another Who tune ended up as a theme for a different CSI show.

Being gassed at the UOM was not a pleasant experience. But, being gassed and video taped by the cops was nothing compared to Kent State around the same time. Those kids are our collective heros.

For me, I'm just trying to figure out how to get massive numbers of visitors to my websites (http://www.aviongoo.com/php4/g.php) so I can feed my kids. I'm trying to get the Fair Tax act passed (see the article 'A Rich Guy' on the http://www.fairtaxu.com website) so that the IRS stops hassling folks. (Why leading Democrats don't support the Fair Tax proposal is beyong me.)

Also beyond me is why Bush is opposed to stem cell research (
http://www.cellbath.com). I'm just disappointed that folks over 50 today are unlikely to see the full benefits of the research. My sister has had diabetes for over 50 years and, with Bush's opposition over the years, a cure is probably still 5 years away.

As far as comparing the Iraq war to the Vietnam war, I don't see the similarity other than decent folks were getting killed in both of them. It didn't matter that we finally abandoned the South Vietnamese. If we abandon Iraq now, my guess is that a religious war would lead to thousands of deaths.

What I would prefer to see is every home and business with
(http://www.solarhigh.com) solar or wind power. The U.S. major problem for decades is a decision process that must consider energy sources. "Wars have been fought over oil" is not just a slogan!

So, in summary, my agenda is:
1. Get the IRS out of our lives - pass the Fair Tax act
2. Get the U.S. out of other country's lives - reduce costs and increase incentives for Solar Power everywhere
3. Substantially advance precursor cell research so that hippie lives can be extended as long as possible

Well I certainly agree with your first two interests (agendas.) I would add to #1 to get the government out of our personal lives completely - out of our bedrooms, our emails, our phone conversations, our schools counterrecruiting, etc....

As far as #3, I guess I don't know enough about cell research to have an opinion. I'd be interested in hearing more though.

[However, seeing the current direction of this world, I'm not convinced that I want a vastly extended period in which to experience it. Also there is the issue of whether this type of 'therapy,' if developed, would be reserved, like most assets, for the few - rich powermongers - the last people we want around forever!]

I visited your links, if you would like to post any of your informational articles in the forums or submit them for publication on the front page - they would be welcome.

Many Blessings,
Blue
