“If a man has an apartment stacked to the ceiling with newspapers we call him crazy. If a woman has a trailer house full of cats we call her nuts. But when people pathologically hoard so much cash that they impoverish the entire nation, we put them on the cover of Fortune magazine and pretend that they are role models.”

 SPOXTalk.com: The Bilderberg Group

The Toeg Effect
Welcome to the Toeg Effect. Today we discuss the most powerful group on planet Earth. Today we review the legacy of the only superpower non-nation in existence.

The Bilderberg Group which holds the Bilderberg conference, an unofficial annual invitation-only conference of around 130 guests, invites only those persons of influence in the fields of business, academia, media, or politics, who make a difference on the international landscape. This group has become the single most influential group in modern society, often dictating policy that influences the actions and reactions of nearly every country on planet Earth. But who are the Bilderbergers, and how did they achieve this domination?

The "Bilderberg" title comes from what is generally recognized to be the location of its first official meeting in 1954 - the Hotel de Bilderberg in Oosterbeek near Arnhem in the Netherlands. According to Wikipedia, "The original Bilderberg conference was held at the Hotel de Bilderberg, near Arnhem, from May 29 to May 30 in 1954. The meeting was initiated by Polish emigre and political adviser, Joseph Retinger. Concerned about the growth of anti-Americanism in Western Europe, he proposed an international conference at which leaders from European countries and the United States would be brought together with the aim of promoting understanding between the cultures of America and Western Europe....

"Retinger approached Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, who agreed to promote the idea, together with Belgian Prime Minister Paul Van Zeeland. The guest list was to be drawn up by inviting two attendees from each nation, one each to represent conservative and liberal (both terms used in the American sense) points of view.

"The success of the meeting led the organizers to arrange an annual conference. A permanent Steering Committee was established, with Retinger appointed as permanent secretary. As well as organizing the conference, the steering committee also maintained a register of attendee names and contact details, with the aim of creating an informal network of individuals who could call upon one another in a private capacity. The declared purpose of the Bilderberg Group was to make a common political line tie between the United States of America and Europe in their opposition to the USSR and the global communist danger."

But the Bilderberg Group grew to much more than just the caretakers of world culture. They became the policy makers of every culture represented. They grew over the decades to a position of such extreme importance, that they overshadow much of the politik of the nations which are represented in the Bilderberg group. As the BBC announced in June of 2004:

"The Bilderberg group, an elite coterie of Western thinkers and power-brokers, has been accused of fixing the fate of the world behind closed doors. As the organization marks its 50th anniversary, rumors are more rife than ever. Given its reputation as perhaps the most powerful organization in the world, the Bilderberg group doesn't go a bundle on its switchboard operations. Telephone inquiries are met with an impersonal female voice reciting back the number and inviting callers to "leave a message after the tone".

Anyone who accidentally dialed the number would probably think they had stumbled on just another residential answer machine. Leiden in Holland, is the inauspicious base of the Bilderberg group. But behind this ultra-modest façade lies one of the most controversial and hotly-debated alliances of our times.

On Thursday the Bilderberg group marks its 50th anniversary with the start of its yearly meeting. For four days some of the West's chief political movers, business leaders, bankers, industrialists and strategic thinkers will hunker down in a five-star hotel in northern Italy to talk about global issues. What sets Bilderberg apart from other high-powered get-togethers, such as the annual World Economic Forum (WEF), is its mystique. Not a word of what is said at Bilderberg meetings can be breathed outside. No reporters are invited in and while confidential minutes of meetings are taken, names are not noted.

The shadowy aura extends further - the anonymous answering machine message, for example; the fact that conference venues are kept secret. The group, which includes luminaries such as Henry Kissinger and former UK chancellor Kenneth Clarke, does not even have a website.

In the year of 2004, Bilderberg announced a list of attendees: They include BP chief John Browne, US Senator John Edwards, former World Bank president James Wolfensohn and Mrs Bill Gates. In the void created by such aloofness, an extraordinary conspiracy theory has grown up around the group that alleges the fate of the world is largely decided by Bilderberg. In Yugoslavia, leading Serbs have blamed Bilderberg for triggering the war which led to the downfall of Slobodan Milosevic. The Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, the London nail-bomber David Copeland and Osama Bin Laden are all said to have bought into the theory that Bilderberg pulls the strings with which national governments dance."

Clearly the Bilderberg group assembles le crème de la crème of the world's movers and shakers. But who are these people? Who are the elitists who populate this ultrasecret global administration?

In the 1999 meeting of the Bilderbergers, the participants included Jon Stevens Corzine, current governor of New Jersey, Christopher Dodd, Democratic Senator from Connecticut, Republican Senator Chuck Hagel from Nebraska, Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State in the Nixon Administration, and David Rockefeller, only surviving son of John D. Rockefeller. This group of Americans met the movers and shakers from around the world. The policies discussed at the Bilderberg meetings are sacrosanct and are meant to be implemented worldwide.

The Bilderbergs are charged with initiating the 1973 oil embargo which sparked a worldwide outrage. In November 1978, President Carter named the Bilderberg group's George Ball, another member of the Trilateral Commission, to head a special White House Iran task force under the National Security Council's Brzezinski. Ball recommended that Washington drop support for the Shah of Iran and support the fundamentalistic Islamic opposition of Ayatollah Khomeini. Uh, I think we've all seen the results of that change in direction.

I remember sitting at work at the airport of Cointrin, Geneva, Switzerland, and have a bunch of near-illiterate Spaniards and Italians tell me how my country is nuts to forego US support of the Shah of Iran. "Don't you even realize?" they would yell at me, "There's a nut in France known as the Ayatollah Khomeini, who will turn Iran into a cesspool of anti-American fervor if you guys stop helping the Shah." I was dumbfounded. I had never even heard of this Ayatollah, or any Ayatollah for that matter, yet here were some of the workerbees at Swissair telling me that my own CIA and US intelligence didn't have a clue about what the results would be if we went down this road. Now, so many decades later, I have a clear understanding of what they were talking about. And it isn't like the US government had much of a choice in the matter. The Bilderberg group had decided that the Shah was a thorn in their side, and they wanted the Ayatollah BACK in power and the spiritual leadership he held before the Shah came to power. And the Shah only rose to power thanks to a CIA coup in 1953.

The chaotic, ever-changing landscape of the world at large appears to be a mosaic tapestry of local events colliding with international ones, until you enter the Bilderberg effect. Once you allow that aspect to be part of the equation, the logic of world events becomes completely understandable. Suddenly, major events around the world are easily quantified as Bilderberg situations. They are merely the result of the direction taken by the Bilderbergers the year before. Once one grasps the reality of the collusion between these world leaders, one quickly sees the cause and effect relationship that the Bilderberg group has on the overall global politic.

The Bilderbergers have dictated global policy since the mid-1950s. They have shaped world think and world expression. They have been the ubberpolicy makers of the late 20th and 21st Centuries. Nearly every policy statement made by any major leader since the second half of the 20th Century has first had to pass by the steering committee of the Bilderberg group. Though they hold no territory, nor citizenry, the Bilderberg group is by far the ultra-superpower that dictates global policy for the entire planet Earth. If one wants to understand the whys and wherefores of international policy, one need merely to read the treatises from the latest Bilderberg conference to understand where world policy will be headed. It's just that simple.

Hello Toeg!
Great piece and hugely important!
Do you believe that it's possible that the 'Bergs are not at the top of the heap? Over the years, I've observed that their activities and gatherings have always looked, to me, like the gathering of a certain secretarial pool, i.e., the NWOGS (New World Order Gang)...to place forward their agenda via hugely powerful underlings...? The powers-that-be remain hidden and the 'Bergs take the friction. -Looking at the 'Bergs member invitees over the decades would cause foundation for my suspicions...Also, that the 'out-ing' of their very existence, heretofore utterly denied and called, 'conspiracy-whacko stuff', makes considerable the efforts of they who have pursued to expose the existence of this genuine and evil branch of the true powers that be. -Z

RE: /forum(s): "-Z I guess we shall disagree here. By January of 2007, oil will not be greater than $75/barrel. Why do I say this?? Because I have seen crisis after crisis occur on US soil and elsewhere, and the price of oil has remained fixed. At the same time, I have seen the price of oil increase for no reason whatsoever. The coming months are nothing special in American politics. The Bilderberg group has already called in the chips they need for a Democratic victory. Bush may very well die before leaving office. That would absolve the others by extention. Don't forget, Reps or Dems, they are the same party. The Bilderbergs use them as an effective smoke screen to confuse the enemy. And the enemy is us. " -Toeg
Toeg,....I too, have seen crisis upon crisis and then again and again and again.
I really do wish I was soooo wrong about all of this. The current U.S. elections give NO hint as to any hope for a rescue from the NWOGS/Bilberberg/Republicrat rulership. At this point, 'they' understand that there are tooo many as we who KNOW...they have to play their ace card (WWIII) pretty much straight away..now. -Z
